Snowmageddon 2014

If you didn't know, I live on the Westside of Atlanta. We get hit by a lot of storms because we get winds from both Alabama and Tennessee. And if you were wondering if my family was effected by the recent snow storm the answer is yes.

Was I prepared for snow for a snow day? Probably not...

Luckily, my 5 hour commute to go 30 miles wasn't as bad as many Georgians.

I had food...

I was able to get gas.

So despite the suckiness of the situation I was fine. As for the Champ it took him 8 hours to go 57 miles, three of which he walked.

Eddie and I might have jogged to meet him half way and save him.

Anytime I get the chance to jog AND be heroic is a win for me.

Have you ever been stranded due to weather?
What is the longest time you have been stuck in a traffic?

  3. I was so happy we both made it home! Our neighbor rang our door bell at 3am. He left his work (about 40 miles away) at 1:30 and finally mad it within several miles to our subdivision where it was gridlocked and just left his car! Poor guy was so distressed he forgot his keys. We had to loan him a hammer to break into his house!
