This week we did a total of ten miles. Five of which were hill repeats. Typically, while on runs I walk up the hills and plow down them. But not this time, Harley and I stayed consistent-we stayed true to our jog 3, walk 1 system. Since we weren't pacing (just running what we could during those three minutes) we hit the hill at all different points. Honestly, I felt pretty strong over all, although one time I did think my heart was going to explode out of my chest.
Our Coach wanted us to do eight laps but we topped that and did 11. Like always, we were the last ones out there! Ha. But it wasn't because we were slow, it was because we were do-gooders. Plus, I think I got an endorphin rush from all those hills...

We even added three more miles for good measure. Overall it was an awesome run.
I know this post is short but I have another one I'm working on about "The System."
Race Menu
32 oz lemon lime nuun
Post Run
Nanner
Half a cherry, pear crumb cake
Sweet Potato biscuit from Highland Bakery omg, nom nom nom
I may have been a lil bit hungry after the run
Oh, while I was getting ready to hop in the shower the Champ went to dig into the box of baked goodness. I told him to get a picture of the deliciousness. (I see how the internet world reacts to Hungry Runner Girl's blog and Pinterest! People apparently like seeing food)
Well this is the photo he took.
Fancy huh?
I love how he took them out of their pretty little box and placed them on paper napkins.
Funny thing is I had sandwich plates trimmed with gold right on the table.
Sigh.
Perfect photo op missed.
;)
