2. I met the Champ in college and wanted to date him badly but I went on one date with his frat brother and he wouldn't date me...ahmm
3. I did hurdles in high school. I also cheered but I remember sitting and stretching at practice watching the cross country team come in and would think of throwing the pom poms down to join them. True story! Bet ya didn't know that Cat :) or maybe by my creepy stares...
4. I am a traditionalist. When we got married we talked on the phone up to 11:59 and hung up. I went into a "holding room" and had the door watched! Besides the bridesmaids only the parents and grand parents were allowed in. I wanted a very calm, reflective time. I know, intense right?
5. Obsessed with TNGHT and BAUER. Thank Pandora for this introduction.
6. I LOVE live concerts...mosh pits, crowd surfers, getting pushed. Although now that I'm getting older I am afraid of getting whip lash...
7. The park I run in has had several films recorded in it including next years Hunger Games
Ok, pretend I got to 11. ;)
1. Do you shop at Victoria's Secret?
Yah, know I sure do but I cringe at the prices! I shop there not because their items are super sexy but because they are comfortable. Truth, I have a favorite pair of VS underwear I wear for every race. Maybe they bring good luck or maybe they just don't ride up where the sun don't shine during races ;)
2.What is something that you're not good at but you would like to be better at?
I am someone that can do anything (not to sound cocky) but I'm a jack of all trades but master of none kinda girl and always have been. I am pretty happy over all with where I'm at with everything and although sometimes wish I could run faster runner- Im just happy with where I am at!
3. If you could only eat 3 meals for the rest of your life, but your nutritional needs would exactly met with no issues, what would you eat?
1. Salami cheese and mustard sandwiches (a favorite for 25 years strong)
2. My
3. Sicilian pizza
Notice a pattern? Can you tell I was raised by Italians?
4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
I actually don't own many shoes. Although, do horde my running shoes. I know, I don't know why. But I have three sets of brooks adrenaline lined up in my closet that I don't wear anymore. However, the next time I head up to the Big Peach (my fav running store) I will be donating them. I don't want to end up on hoarders...

5. What type of music did you listen to in high school?
Wow, I was all over the board. I actually wanted to be a recording engineer and if I could do anything that's what I would do. I joined orchestra my junior year (I ended up being placed in the Freshamn orchestra) haha. Whatever, it wasn't about ebing the best it was about enjoying the music, the expierence. So I listended to a lot of classical music and then there was my "skater" wannabe stage. Well I could inline, so I actually wasn't posing but ya know what I mean. I love Sum41. I actually saw them before they got "big" the same with hoobastank. I felt like I discovered them. I felt like that with a lot of bands actually. (just some of my pics- I have a box full at home - ya know before facebook)
Carina's Questions
6. If you had one month to spend at home with no work or family obligations to occupy your time, what all would you plan to do?
Oh my! I would workout everyday, I would cook a wonderful dinner for my family
Source Duh- that cake would totally be paleo |
7. What is your number one goal to accomplish in 2013?
My number one goal was to run a marathon. I did it andddd did another! They were such life changing experiences. Seriously, you have no idea how far your mind and body can go. Its truly amazing and I am so thankful I had the courage to run them! Trust me when I first started out, there were some doubtful moments and tears! But like I've said, dedication and persistence takes you far!
8. If you were given a $1,000 gift card tomorrow, what would you buy with it?
Oh dear, I have a degree I in economics and work with money for a living- truth I would invest it or... use it to go a trip with the hubs cause I kinda like him a lot.
9. Do you have pets?
Oh, yes! Eddie my dog son. He brings so much joy to our little family and oh yeah he thinks I'm a-mazing so I love him even more ;)
10. What makes a good friend?
This is such a hard one. I have realized that people just take different paths and although I have wonderful memories with them our paths are no longer in the same direction. It sucks. But I've grown a lot because of it. I think having a friend that makes time for you is a big deal. Life, work, family it is consuming but it takes two seconds to send someone a text to say good morning. Trust, what is said on the trails stays on the trails. Um, that motto should work for none runners too. So for me, making time to cherish and acknowledge your friendship and respecting each others conversations is really important. Now if you asked me 5 years ago I would have said, they need to like the same music as me and be out going...but I guess that's what growing is all about, huh?
11. Why do you blog?
I use the blog as a journal. I write about my races and long runs to share with you lovelies but also to track my strengths and weaknesses for each run. My goals in running are to run happy, and injury free. Tracking nutrition, how the run went etc.. has really helped me understand areas that I am lacking and where I am excelling.
Ok, enough about me.
