Boston Marathon

I haven’t had time to write about my 20 mile road run but its changed me. No lie. I can’t believe I did it. I can’t even describe how proud I am of myself. All corniness aside, that run changed me. With that being said, I can’t fathom what it would be like to QUALIFY for a world renowned race. To be at the last mile, to see the finish line and then to see a cloud of smoke. It actually brings me to tears. How someone’s dreams can be crushed. Someone’s life changed. Running, for me at least is a personal feat. I take pride in my accomplishments because no one else could do them but myself. To run, to reach such an accomplishment and literally have it taken away from you, after you were the one that trained, after you where the one that forced yourself to get up and work out is just unimaginable. To be that close to a dream or a goal... is heartbreaking.
