I have been meaning and been wanting to post about my half marathon experience but just haven't had the time too. You see in 3 weeks I ran TWO half marathons, chopped off my sexi red head and got a bob and resigned and accepted a new position. These may not seem like a lot to many people but for a woman that thrives on consistency it has been allot to take in.
It all began on a Thursday morning, I was interviewed for a new position felt pretty good about it but told myself if I didn't it I wouldn't get upset. Then came Saturday and I ran my first half marathon. That Tuesday I received a call that they wanted to me to start in two weeks. Wednesday came and I gave my two week notice. During that time I found out the woman that was going to be cross training me was leaving a month earlier then planned thus, I started working weekends asap while continuing my long runs on Saturday mornings. And because I respect my current job and look at it with high esteem I have literally made a "Survival Guide" for my next in line. You see I worked very hard at my current place of employment and I want to make sure that when I leave everything will remain as seemless as possible for my boss, my friend.
With cross training, preparing for the end of an era and trying to get my runs in, things have been a bit chaotic. I haven't had time to actually take anything in. Thus, the lack of stories regarding my 13.1.
I hope to get them up soon. I wish I did them the day after my run but who knew what changes were to come. All in all I am happy but more so then ever am I craving good hard runs...
